OCC Career Center to host LinkedIn workshop

The Orange Coast College Career Center will host a LinkedIn Workshop on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.

“We totally encourage students to attend the LinkedIn workshop because it’s a professional platform to connect with professionals in their fields,” said Thao Ho, Career Center Administrative Assistant.

The Career Center has seen students on LinkedIn who have had promising results in their career paths.

“We’ve seen students in the LinkedIn Network that land jobs or internships by connecting with professionals in their fields,” Ho said.“We just want to get students connected to the platform so that they can get started.

The OCC Career Center is willing to help students with all aspects of their career paths, not just the basics of LinkedIn.

“Not many students know that OCC has a Career Center,” Ho said. “The Career Center is always here helping students with career exploration and readiness.”

The Career Center is open in-person this semester from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to  Elaine Devlin, K-14 Careers Path Coordinator.
