The Harbour 2

A substance abuse seminar will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Orange Coast College’s on-campus housing complex, The Harbour at 6pm.

“In the Know: Substance Use & Resources” will be hosted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, OCC Housing and Residential Education, OCC Campus Safety and the OCC Student Health Center.

This will be the second substance abuse event hosted for Harbour residents since two residents died of drug overdoses in February.

Orange County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Gunsolley will speak about the use and growing prevalence of marijuana, fentanyl and other drugs. Resources for residents impacted by substance abuse will be provided.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, support and resources can be found at the Orange County Health Department's Substance Abuse website.
