Crime Update

An Orange Coast College student reported an attempted carjacking on campus Sat., Sept. 26 at 11:15 p.m. The incident occurred just off Adams Ave. in The Harbour student housing parking lot on the northwest end of campus. 

The suspect had a knife and is described as a white male in his mid-20s with blonde hair, approximately 6-foot-1 and weighs around 170 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, grey pants, a green or dark beanie, and a pair of red Vans tennis shoes. The suspect fled west, on foot toward Adams Ave. and Harbor Blvd. The student was not injured and is receiving support from OCC. 

According to a public safety alert, the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. If you see someone matching the description of the suspect, contact the Costa Mesa Police Department immediately by dialing 911.
