Six local artists came together and displayed their artwork in Newport Beach with non-profit organization E3 Solutions on Sept. 17.

Kristina Malykhina
Local artist Kristina Malykhina displayed multiple pieces of her work. Malykhina works with a wide range of mediums including acrylic, rope, and insulation foam. She displays more of her artwork on her Instagram.

Teresa MacGregor
Teresa MacGregor is a local artist that works with oil in her paintings. MacGregor gathers inspiration from cultures that she visits during her travels. A member of the Orange County Fine Art Association since 2017, MacGregor showcases and sells pieces at the Showcase and Bear Street Galleries in Santa Ana and online.

Maria Yepez
Representational artist Maria Yepez attended Mission Renaissance School of Fine Arts in Irvine. Yepez’s chosen mediums are watercolors, oil, and acrylic with inspiration stemming from nature. Artwork can be purchased from Yepez on Etsy.

Tina Rodriguez and her students
School of Art Program Director Tina Rodriguez has been teaching for 25 years. Specializing in a variety of mediums including pastels, watercolors and oils Rodriguez instructs students as young as five years old.
“Many of the students have been with us for five years. Some have been with us for just a few,” Rodriguez said.

Betty Scott
Betty Scott, a Utah native with California roots, began taking classes at Mission Renaissance School of Fine Arts approximately six years ago. This is Scott’s first art show. The cabin in the first painting displayed is the cabin her parents started building after getting engaged in 1955.
“My dad just turned 93, so we had a big bash up there about a month ago,” Scott said.
