Recycled thieves

An employee reported a break in at the Orange Coast College Recycling Center on Oct. 26 at around 4 p.m., Chief of Campus Safety Jim Rudy said. 

The suspects allegedly stole recycled goods and a Mac computer from the center, according to Rudy. The loss is estimated to be $100 and security cameras did not record the suspects, Rudy said.


Tag, you're it

A vehicle parked in the Merrimac Way Parking Lot had its registration tags stolen and removed on Oct. 24 at about 9 a.m., Rudy said. 

The victim noticed their registration tag had been ripped off upon returning to their car and was instructed by Campus Safety to file a police report, according to Rudy.


Skater struck

A student was reportedly hit by a Lexus SUV while riding his skateboard in the crosswalk of the Adams Avenue Parking Lot on Oct. 23 at around 9:30 p.m., Rudy said. 

The skateboarder bounced off the windshield, fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries, according to Rudy. 

The driver stayed at the scene where the Costa Mesa Police Department conducted a traffic accident investigation, Rudy said.
