Orange Coast College campus overview

After a seven-month search, Orange Coast College is about to get a new president.

The Coast Community College District Board of Trustees will announce the new president tonight during its regular meeting at 5 p.m. in the district office, 1370 Adams Avenue in Costa Mesa.

Former OCC president Dennis Harkins announced his retirement from the college in September and was replaced by interim president Kevin Ballinger in November. Once the new president is seated, Ballinger will return to his post as vice president of instruction.

A 14-member search committee was formed when Harkins retired and includes community members, union representatives and others.
