Vote polling station

The Student Government of Orange Coast College has another vacancy students can apply to fill.

On the heels of three other resignations, the position of Vice President of Diplomatic Affairs for the government opened up last week.

Nand Javia reportedly resigned due to personal reasons. According to colleagues, Javia had a heavy school schedule.

Students will need to decide how to fill the open position but no decisions were made during the Student Senate meeting on Sept. 20.

Applications are already being accepted for two vacant senate seats and the student government president.

After resignations and transfers earlier this semester, elections are being held this week to fill the seats of the president and one of the student senators. The second senate seat will be filled with an appointment.

Senate by-laws determine when a seat is filled with an appointment or election.
