Rags to riches

The Closet has been offering professional clothes and accessories to Coast students for several years.

The Closet is full of opportunity and has the ability to help all students in need of business attire or clothes to get them through the winter.

At Orange Coast College, The Closet is a place that many might not have heard about even though it has been open for over three years.

The room is stocked with professional clothing and accessories such as suits, belts and shoes for job interviews, and also warm winter clothes for students in need to take for free.

Located on the third floor of Watson Hall, The Closet is open to any student with a referral from the Pirates’ Cove, OCC’s on-campus food pantry.

The Closet, which is run by Pirates’ Cove and Student Equity, will be moving into the expansion room of Pirates’ Cove by the fall and it will have a bigger range of choices, sizes and more.

The Cove is currently taking donations from staff and faculty to have more diverse and professional options for students.

The Closet hours are Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
