Orange Coast College hosted the nation’s largest children’s book festival Sunday, with over 125 authors and more than 25 illustrators.

For the last 15 years the Children’s Book Fair has offered independent authors and big publishing companies to bring education, entertainment and reading together into a fun environment on OCC’s campus.

Special guest speakers on the main stage included comedian, actress, writer and director Kim Wayans and NASA astronaut and engineer Nicole Stott, who spent over 100 days on the International Space Station. Exhibitors showcased toys, interactive games, and school supplies available for purchase throughout the festival. As thousands of guests roamed the campus, many could be seen dressed as different characters from fictional series with crowds lining up to pose for photo opportunities.
